This treatment is one of methods helping to improve the aestheticism for patients who are coral tooth, tooth toothless, or teeth distortions etc. bring benefits for oral health, improve smile and adjust the jowl growth to correct patients’ bite (especially teenagers). Depend on each cases, dentists will consult and request patients to extract tooth or stretch widen jowl to create a space for tooth’s moving. Including 2 types: Standard braces ( bonded in frond of teeth) or Lingual braces (bonded on the back of the teeth).

A. Lingual braces:

Pros:

Look more aesthetic because of non- visible completely.

Cos: 

Take more time compared to standard braces which are bonded in the frond of teeth.

Easily cause gingivitis, bad breath due to poor oral hygiene.

Difficult to pronounce and entanglement due to the chord system and braces are cemented on the back of the teeth.

B. Standard braces

Traditional brackets:

Patients must come the dental clinic frequently to check and change the elastic power chain tie up the archwire. This method has the lowest price than others.

Automatic brackets (new technology):

 

This type of brace do not need to use the elastic power chain tie up the archwire because of the functional “automatic slipping”, maximize the analgesia and minimize time for changing the elastic regularly.
